Property sold to me by cheating and fraud

Hello sir, my father got cheated in plot matter. My father had given to plot agent ₹8 lakh without any legal documents. Plot was fraud. My father got heart attack and now undergoing mental treatment. He usually tell us that we will return money but nothing happens. Also he do not receive call. We also have one time bounced cheque given by him worth ₹1 lakh. What are the ways to get rid of? Can I file mental harassment case along with civil case?

You can file a civil suit seeking recovery of the amount paid to the agent also you can file a FIR for cheating and criminal breach of trust. You can add your case for mental harassment and damages in the civil suit.

Do u have any proof that you had given them Rs.8 Lakh to agent? If yes then only we can proceed to recover it from him. When was cheque bounced? After the bounce had you send him notice within 15 day.
