Private college heavy maintenance charges from students

Our college management is collecting heavy charges from each student with reason of common laboratories equipment breakages though we haven't broken any one of the equipments.., there are more then 700 students in our department from all of them they are collecting 700 huge amount of money as scam..,is there any legal way to file a pitition and get solution for this problem plz help me out
You can file a consumer case and or file a Writ Petition in High Court.
