Passport issue problem due to date of birth incorrect

My wife's date of birth is wrong in her birth certificate but correct on Aadhar , Pan and all educational documents. But police is not clearing verification for passport due to this. We have also got it written from her school principal. However, police is not agreeing as the format of school leaving certificate is different in our native state. Please advise what documents are required to help in this case.

You will need following Docs to correct Date of Birth in Birth Certificate : Original birth certificate (with the incorrect DOB). Original birth certificate (with the incorrect DOB). Affidavit (sworn statement explaining the error and stating the correct DOB). Supporting documents proving the correct DOB: School records (e.g., 10th-grade mark sheet, transfer certificate). Hospital discharge summary or birth records (if available). Affidavit (sworn statement explaining the error and stating the correct DOB). If there is a discrepancy in the date of birth on the birth certificate versus Aadhar, PAN, and educational documents, your wife will need to file a declaration suit in the civil court for correction of DOB and obtain a court order. Along with this, submit supporting evidence such as school records, affidavit, Aadhar, PAN, and a letter from the school principal.
