Pamphlets sticking on walls for advertising in the locality

Someone is threatening me that there will be consequences if I do not show up at the time and place he ordered because I had stuck some pamphlets on walls where already some people had stuck their pamphlets. I am tensed. Can he take legal action against me? I am just a student preparing for gov jobs and had started a tutor providing service in my locality.
