Only Single girl child affidavit./ First class magistrate

31-May-2024 (In Civil Law)
I want to make an affidavit for university admission but I'm confused. The university guidelines mentioned a few authorities like DM SDM, etc to get the affidavit signed. But the certificate format, it mentioned duly attested by first class magistrate I'm confused FORMAT OF AFFIDAVIT FOR ONLY (SINGLE) GIRL CHILD CATEGORY ( non-judicial paper of Rs.20/- duly attested by 1st class Magistrate) From whom do I have to get my affidavit signed. Does it mean I have to get it signed by 2 authorities?

An affidavit for a single girl child is a legal document where the parents declare that their daughter is their only child, with no siblings. This affidavit is commonly used for school admissions, scholarship applications, or government schemes like the Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana, which offer benefits for families with a single girl child. It is typically prepared on stamp paper and must be attested by a First Class Magistrate or notary. To obtain a single girl child certificate, supporting documents like the child's birth certificate and proof of family status may also be required, depending on the institution or authority involved.

You can always get it attested by any SDM according to your jurisdiction as they are fully competent to sign these kinds of documents. And you need not get it signed by two people. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

ithe affidavit itself said that it must be attested by DM SDM or Judicial magistrate of first class on non judicial stamp paper of rupees 20 and that's all it means that you have to attested it with any of these authority. only one authority not by 2 or more authorities

No, you are required to get your certificate signed only by 1 authority and authorisation by the first class magistrate is sufficient enough. however if you get it done by DM or SDM then also it is a valid document according to the law
