A legal notice has to be served first. Then, an appropriate legal remedy before a Court has to be prayed for. Also, you can seek compensation for the trouble caused to you as well as litigation costs- reasonably.

This is something which every person almost is facing in day to day lives. To be very specific, this constitutes nuisance but the person doing the woton is ignorant about it. Talking about the remedies that you have, you can either file a police complaint or approach the court. Since this is a civil matter the police would be least interested in taking this to a logical conclusion. This brings you to the only option and that is approaching court. You can approach the civil court and seek injunction orders against the person. The court, if thinks fit, may grant injunction orders and ask the person to stop doing that act. You can call or text me if help needed.

file a written complaint with the police station of your area. if police doesn't take any action you can approach the sub divisional magistrate of your area by making a complaint. meet the concerned SDM in person after some time. still no action, file a complaint with the metropolitan magistrate for nuisance. you can also seek compensation for the problem if suffered any inconveniences. should you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

The first and foremost act you should do in this case to file a police complaint against such a person and based on the act you can file an injunction suit in the court of law so that the court may provide you with appropriate order and ask the person to remove the exhaust fan

We can serve them with a legal notice for causing public nuisance and further to restrain from any such act. Simultaneously we can also file a criminal complaint against them for themselves in public nuisance and trouble to you
