My share in my deceased mother's property who died without any will.
22-Sep-2023 (In Civil Law)
My parents had a property in their joint name. Last year my mother died without any will. Now my father wants to sell the property without giving any share to me. We are two brothers and one married sister.
So, what will be my share in the property and how to get it? Pls help me.
Hello
The parents had the property in their name. If that was a self acquired property then your father can give it away to anybody he wants as far as his share is concerned.
But as far as your mothers share is concerned....you all have a share in it. Even your father. He cannot sell the whole property as it would be illegal.
