Since your name is mentioned wrongly on the death certificate you need to provide the documents where in your name has been spelled correctly. simultaneously if you do not have the marriage certificate you can provide the marriage invitation card and for marriage photographs. You can also give an affidavit affirming that you had been married to your husband and the name on death certificate is incorrect.

The BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) may ask for a marriage certificate to correct a name change because it serves as a crucial piece of evidence for individuals who want to legally adopt a new name after marriage. Specifically, the marriage certificate is required to verify the name change request and ensure it aligns with legal procedures.
