Movie being made without taking NOC

A movie is being made on my lifestory without taking my NOC & also my name has been changed in the movie. The director producer took the story & all the help from me and have paid me nothing. Can I file a case against them? What legal actions can I take?

Yes, you can seek share in profits from them in in respect of the post release of the film. You can seek recognition too, royalties too wherever required. If they refuse to give you share in profits and recognition, you can file a case upon them.

You can definitely take legal action if a movie is being made on your life story without your consent or payment. In Indian law, your life story, personal experiences and identity fall under the ambit of right to privacy and personality rights, which are protected as part of Article 21 of the Constitution. If the director/producer took your story directly from you and are using it commercially without a No Objection Certificate (NOC), life rights agreement, or compensation, you can file --- Civil Suit for Injunction & Damages, Copyright & Moral Rights Claim, Personality & Privacy Rights, lodge a complaint for cheating, criminal breach of trust or misrepresentation.

Yes you can file suit against them for damages, compensation and royalty. Further you can also get stay order against the director and producer from ever releasing the film during pendency of trial. Apart from that, if there is something defamatory, you can file defamation suit.
