You do not need any correction. If you have a Digital University Account, assuming it's Mumbai University you can make changes there. But, it is again, not required. You are trying to cross the bridge before you have reached it, young man. If you are refused any such Government job you have enlisted in your query, the appropriate remedy would be Writ Petition in the HC. As per the Government of Maharashtra, mother's maiden name is sufficient even in case there is no father's name on record (for single mothers). I hope that answers your question. As to the worry, leave it to Hari. Yes, Mr. Kulkarni?

yes you may face some problems but you can cover up the same by way of the same name affidavit and in some cases they ask for name change so it depends how they react to it, you don't need a lawyer for this you will have to inquire with the respective departments itself and they will direct you if an affidavit is required or not, if yes, then only you will need a lawyer to draft the affidavit.

In many official documents, the full name of mother is not mentioned, only first name is mentioned. Since, there is no mistake in the name or spelling, it is unlikely that you will face any issue for government jobs. In case there is any issue, you can get a publication in Gazette for the change in name if so required.

You need not worry about this, what you can do is simply apply for Gazette Notification, it will take 15-20 days to get issued. If you want only 'Priya' as your mother's name then you have to apply Gazzette as old name: Priya Arun Kulkarni new name: Priya or if you want your mother's full name as the correct one then you have to apply Gazzette as old name: Priya new name: Priya Arun Kulkarni there is no need to change the name in the documents.
