misinformed about providing hostel

my college officials keep mosinforming us about alloting hostels , my college is University school of automation and robotics which comes under ggsipu, a state government college. since it is a new campus they told us they will provide us hostel during the time if admission, when the semester statted offline the hostels were not completed and now i am in fifth semester still they haven't provided hostels and i have recording and screenshots of them saying that they will provide the hostel

If you have any documents which says that Hostel will be provided to you after a certain period then you have a valid case otherwise the recording and screenshots though applicable as an evidence cannot be maintained in the court and it will not respond positively. As per the relevant position in the court it will not be done

You can seek compensation from the college for deficiency of service. a case under consumer protection can be filed in district consumer forum having jurisdiction in the matter. should you have any queries feel free to contact me

based on your facts and after consulting hostel policy as given in admission brochure or any other college document/ record /rules, you may write email or give letter to the concerned authority demanding hostel facility and after their response you may take legal advice accordingly .
