Marriage hall doesn’t refunding money(Cancelled due to Corona)

20-Sep-2023 (In Civil Law)
I booked a marriage hall in January 2020 with 42k advance for a wedding dated on April 29. Due to Corona pandemic, the marriage was cancelled. Since then, they are not returning the advance money and always giving reasons and fake promises. I’m paying interest for this money, which is a total loss for me. Can I take a legal action against the wedding hall.
