loan not paid back due to no source of income

I had taken loan from a society, however could not payback due to lack of income, as I am jobless, as they filed a criminal offense too..... please suggest..

Hi, please engage an advocate to plead your cause with proper grounds for non repayment of load due to lack of income with the bank officials. They shall be able to provide you enough time to repay the loan without any interest which is to the discretion of the Bank. Let me know for any help from my side which I can provide at free of cost.

Is your loan secured by any mortgage of property or any pledge ? if not the society should have filed a civil suit against you and it is surprising that they filed criminal case against you. What sort of case they have filed ?.. have you appeared or not ? ...

There is no criminal liability in a loan transaction It is purely a civil obligation to discharge the loan You may take time to clear the debt
