Legality of Tahsildar registering name in Adangal record

29-Nov-2023 (In Civil Law)
While the tenancy right case (Revision petition against the Revenue Court order) is pending before District Revenue Officer, then the Tahsildhar has registered the defendant name in the Adangal record through Village Administrative Officer on the basis of Revenue Court Order. But we filed revision petition before DRO with in the appeal period of 90 days. Is the Tahshildar action right or wrong?

The entry in adangal is not always conclusive. The effort must be to establish your tenancy right before DRO. If you succeed in the revision order copy may be given to Tahshildar for deleting the entry. It is also open to obtain orders in revision that direction should be given so that wrong entry is deleted. Sankaran

His action is right. Work out your remedy before the DRO. Once DRO gives favourable order then the Tahsildar has no other option but to give effect to the order of the DRO. Hence expedite the revision petition pending before DRO.
