Legal rights of a student in private institutions like Mahendra's

Is it legal for educational institutes like Mahenndra's to force its students to bring bags that they provide at the time of admission? Can they take action against a student who brings a different bag to the institute.

No they can't force you to bring stuff like bag and they also can't take action in ground of this silliness thing go to police station against this type of action if they threaten you .

DEAR SIR/MADAM ITS NOT LEGAL AND THEY CAN NOT FORCE ANY STUDENT TO BRING THE BAG THEY GIVE. AND IN ANY CASE IF THEY FORCE ANY STUDENT THEN IN THAT CASE YOU CAN MOVE BEFORE THE EDUCATIONAL TRIBUNAL AND CAN FILE AN APPLICATION FOR THE APPROPRIATE RELIEF
