Legal action against neighbour for nuisance and encroachment

My neither built sheet roof 2" inside our premise and 2" along public road. He erected his gate with one support inside our compound. Now we have one tree which starts extending to his premise and road also. He cuts the branches without our permission from both the sides and throws inside our compound above other plants. Everyday he pours all leaves and other waste after sweeping both sides into our compound. I feel that he is using my premise so he must keep our tree as it is at least above the public road. Please guide me for all these.
