Is it legal to have Domicile of two different states

24-Apr-2023 (In Civil Law)

I was born in Rajasthan & have obtained domicile of Rajasthan state. But after birth I am residing in Maharashtra mumbai for last 18 yrs. I have more than 10 yr of proof as educational certificates also. I can obtain Domicile of Maharashtra state also.... My Que - Will this be Legal to me have Domicile of both state i.e. Rajasthan & Maharashtra ????

Yes, this is illegal to have two domicial certificate of two different states. The main object of domicial is to for your Indian domicial identity. You can settle anywhere in India but domicial can be one that is from your birth place only
