Institute not refunding fees after cancellation of admission.

I have done my brothers admission to Shrichaitanya Educational Institute. I have paid 1Lakh rupees as a tution and hostel fees.But due to some reasons we have cancelled the admission in one week. They have said at the time of cancellation fees will be refunded but steel not received refund. Everytime we contact them they tell that it will be refunded. Please suggest what to do?

If they have not refunded your fees you can send a notice to them through a lawyer preferably and as education comes under the term "service" you can file a complaint at your nearest consumer court/tribunal/redressal forum . i think they will definitely refund your fees when you send them a notice also please check out if the institution is grantable aided/ non grantable and non aided so you can proceed with other means of recovery please contact your lawyer for futher advice

Pls send a legal notice to the registered address of institute demanding refund as per the applicable rules of the university/governing body, if they fail to pay you may file a case in the consumer court.
