Sir, for aadhar card registration you need to be an Indian citizen and to become one you have to go through the renunciation process of nepali citizenship post which you need to apply for acquiring indian citizenship.

Hi there, it can be done if you hold a valid Indian passport. However, in general you have to file an application regarding the same before the authorities. I'll need additional details as to the Passport and any issues or rejection already raised by the authorities. It's advisable to contact me and provide requisite details to assist you better.

enrollment, the applicant must provide Proof of Identity (POI) and Proof of Address (POA). A passport is valid POI. For POA, a registered rent agreement is not mandatory. UIDAI accepts multiple documents. Aadhaar is issued only to residents of India (i.e., a person who has stayed in India for 182 days or more in the preceding 12 months), irrespective of citizenship. So first, confirm whether the student satisfies the residency requirement.

Do you want the aadhar card of India? If your passport says that you are a Nepali Citizen then the aadhar card of India is not possible..However if you still require it then we can follow certain procedure and prepare a rent agreement which can be registered. but for aadhar card of India your school documents will show that you have a Nepali birth so getting it will be difficult. If you can somehow show that you are from Uttarakhand then it is possible

Firstly, under the law governing Aadhaar, i.e., the Aadhaar (Targeted Delivery of Financial and Other Subsidies, Benefits and Services) Act, 2016, Aadhaar is primarily meant for residents of India, which includes individuals who have stayed in India for 182 days or more in the preceding 12 months. As a student from Nepal, you are eligible to apply only if you satisfy this residency requirement. Secondly, with respect to documentation, Aadhaar enrollment requires valid Proof of Identity (POI) and Proof of Address (POA). Your passport can serve as a valid identity document. However, for address proof, a notarized rent agreement is generally not treated as a strong or standard POA document, especially if it is not registered. That said, you still have practical alternatives: You may obtain a certificate of address issued by the PG owner along with their valid ID proof, which is sometimes accepted as supporting documentation. You may use the “Introducer” or “Head of Family” method available at Aadhaar enrollment centres, where a verified individual can confirm your address. You may also request a letter from your educational institution (CA coaching institute or affiliated body) confirming your residence, which can sometimes be accepted. In some cases, a bonafide certificate along with a local address declaration may help during enrollment. It is not mandatory that the rent agreement be registered; however, the authorities must be satisfied about the genuineness of your residence. In conclusion, you can apply for Aadhaar if you meet the residency requirement, and even without a registered rent agreement, you can proceed using alternative address proof mechanisms such as introducer verification or supporting certificates.
