I applied for an instant loan through a loan app, but due to my family situation, I am unable to repay it now. However, I can make a full settlement after two months. Now, I have received a areness legal notice regarding the payment. What should I do? Do I need to go to court? The loan amount was only ₹12,000.

An Areness Attorneys notice is a formal legal notice sent by the law firm on behalf of a client, usually as a final warning before a civil lawsuit. While it is not a court order, it should be taken seriously. The notice outlines the complaint, legal grounds, and specific demands, provides a chance for amicable resolution, and warns of potential legal action if ignored. If you receive such a notice, do not ignore it. Carefully review the claims, consult a lawyer, gather relevant documents, and respond professionally. A legal notice often marks the start of negotiation or settlement, not immediate litigation.

Sir, don’t worry. If you are ready to repay, simply respond to the areness issued legal notice stating that you are willing to pay the ₹12,000 amount and propose a settlement agreement. You should send this reply through RPAD (Registered Post with Acknowledgment Due), so you receive an acknowledgment card as proof.

It usually takes over three months to file a suit, so there is no immediate cause for concern. If you areness attorneys notice meaning is unclear to you, just focus on providing the repayment proof by making the payment through an account or with proper documentation. This way, you will not face any legal trouble.
