Addressing COVID-19 is foremost a public health concern. However, the impact of the crisis, as well as the legal and policy responses developed by states to counter the spread of COVID-19, have much wider ramifications that affect a broad range of human rights, including the ability of people to access justice in a timely, fair, and effective manner. The crisis also presents specific justice ‘needs’, such as addressing the rise in gender-based violence and making additional institutional reforms to strengthen the effectiveness of the justice chain in a radically shifted social context.

Legal Assistance during Lockdown

Looking at the legal troubles being faced by the public during COVID times the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) has decided to open online legal assistance services by a panel of women lawyers in each district to come to the aid of victims of domestic violence and child abuse, which saw a major spike during the lockdown triggered by coronavirus outbreak. NALSA has collaborated with state and district legal services authorities to establish 'one-stop centers' (OSCs). Persistent efforts have been taken to provide legal assistance, through tele-services of female panel lawyers in every district.

You may get legal advice/assistance even in lockdown. You may contact your advocate through phone/video call depending upon the nature of the legal issue. Discuss everything in detail with us and get possible solution/legal advice. You can easily contact us for the same. Brij Mohan (Adv.)

Hello, You can always go ahead and seek online consultation. Share your documents online and the respective lawyer can take it up on Zoom or at other suitable platform. During the pandemic even the Courts are holding Online Session so that no one has to travel to get justice. Best, Best, Sishmita
