How to do book promotion in India

Hi, I want to promote some American books in India. I'm thinking about promoting it through pamphlets first then give ads on newspaper. Can I straightforwardly do it or there is some procedure to follow ??
There is no such procedure which is to be followed for the same. Though there are few things which are required to be considered.
The said advertisement should not contain any obscene material as it is volative of section 292 of IPC,1860.

Hi. There is no specific law as far as promoting foreign books in india is concerned. However laws on intellectual property rights morespecifically copyright laws have to be kept in mind while promoting the books.
