How to change power of attorney

I have a power of attorney of a vehicle and need to give the attorney to a new person .What is the procedure regarding the issue?!.

The POA which you have got the vehicle itself is wrong ! For vehicles you have to directly transfer the vehicle under the name of the purchaser, bcoz the owner who’s name is Registered at transport authority is fully liable for each & every consequences no matter even if u have got GPA. Therefore u cannot transfers any GPA and the GPA which you have is also zero

Hi, In general, power of attorney cannot be delegated to another person without specific clause permitting the same in the power of attorney. Therefore if a clause exists you can delegate your duties as an agent to someone else in the manner prescribed in the act. If not, then the way forward would be for the principal to execute a new power of attorney in favour of the new agent. Please feel free to contact me for further assistance.

You will have to revoke or cancel the previous power for Tony that was issued with respect to the vehicle concerned. after the previous power of attorney has been cancelled a new power of attorney can be issued in the name of the next person. old power of attirneycan be changed by executing a new power of attorney. In utter precaution it usadvisable to revoke the old power of attorney and necessary notice be given to old power of attorney holder and a public notice in two news paper be given so as to remove all ambiguities and other complexities.

Hi, Going by the limited information provided by you, it is essential to look at old power of attorney as to what all obligation/duties were incorporated at that time Nd thereby new Power of attorney can be drafted and executed. Its important to have discussion to have a better picture and provide a sane legal advise.
