How can I file complaint in metropolitan court

08-Mar-2023 (In Civil Law)
On Feb 4, 2017, I was checking my mobile in Mira Road Railway Station. Suddenly a stout built man snatched the moble from my hands and threatened to attack me saying that I should not take photos in the railway station. I showed him the basic camera mode and proved that there were no such photos in the camera card as alleged by hm. However, he continued to threaten me and demanded a so called settlement. As he did not dsclose his identity and could be a criminal, I managed to keep him in a conversation and finally he forced me to accompany me to Borivalii station where we got down and he made with Rs. 300/- and left in a CC bound local. My complaints to the GRP at Vasai and Borivali Railway Station have not yeilded results. Can I file a complaint to the Metropolitan Magistrates Court and request summons to GRP and RPF Commisioner of Police to tke criminal action.

You will have to file a criminal complaint of assault and extortion under section 351 and 383 of Indian Penal Code, 1860, if there is no action then, you can write an application the the Superintendent of Police, if still there is no action taken then you can file a case in Court of Metropolitan Magistrate under section 156(3) of CrPC.
