Hi Sir/Mam, i lost my passport in Mumbai in the year 2014 while traveling in local train. I have reported the same to railway police and they have issued me a hand written lost certificate the same year. After that due to some personal and medical issues i couldn't reapply for a fresh one as I didn't have any urgent abroad travel requirement. I want to know if it is ok to apply now with that old lost certificate issued in 2014 or I have to again file a fresh FIR. I am currently residing in Hyderabad.

hi you could apply for fresh passport saying that you had lost the passport due to loss of earlier one and that they had issued lost certificate amd if they are not issuing then you could file writ petition in high court
