Hi, I have made an agreement with a contractor for buying a home for 12 lakhs. Agreement period is three months and the agreement date is going to end by next week. Its mentioned as ' if I withdraw before the 3 months I. e. Before the agreement end, he has to give me the amount with 1 lakh reduced.. Like he has to give me 11 lakhs. If suppose he withdraws, he have to give me my amount with one lakh increased. Like he has to give me 13 lakhs.. So, Due to corona crisis I was not able to arrange the money.. Hence I told him that I'm going to withdraw.. But he is delaying to give the amount 11 lakh to me now.. Is the agreement valid after the agreement period.. Can I file a case on him saying that he didn't repay my amount?

When a written agreement lacks a contract expiration date, and a dispute arises about when the contract ends, a court must examine all aspects of the agreement to determine when the agreement ended or will end. If you signed a contract to between parties , for example, a court may determine that the contract expiration date occurred dispute between the parties The court could confirm this by reviewing the receipt of documents to determine that the contract was completed. In most instances, courts will apply the standard of a “reasonable period of time” based on the terms of the agreement to determine the logical ending of a contract.
