Future course of action in Supreme Court order

15-Oct-2023 (In Civil Law)
Respected Sir, There was a order passed by the SC dismissing the petition at the admission stage itself. The judgement copy is in the url http://supremecourtofindia.nic.in/supremecourt/2017/17065/17065_2017_Order_31-Jul-2017.pdf I want to know what is time within which AICTE is obliged to initiate a case. Also what are options available in case AICTE does not take any action in the time specified.

Since no time has been specified by the Supreme Court in the order, you may wait for a reasonable time. In the event no action is taken by AICTE, you may file an IA for directions in the Writ Petition along with a contempt petition.

First of all the petition is not dismissed, it is disposed off with a direction to file before AICTE. What time AICTE would take would be according to their procedural rules. Kindly refer to AICTE and ask for the same.
