Foreigner wants to obtain Aadhaar card in India

07-Dec-2023 (In Civil Law)
I'm a Swiss citizen, I've been resident in Indian since more than 10 years, have a PAN card, bank account (Axis), debit card. I do have the last two 5 years residential permit (which are expired), and several visas for Indian with never had been refused. I actually hold a one year tourist visa. My bank ask to produce am Aadhaar number or I will heve the account blocked. How can I obtain an Aadhaar number ? I've been told that foreigners can recently get one under some circumstances.

Under the Aadhar Act anyone who is in India for more than 182 days in aggregate in the past 12 months becomes eligible to obtain Aadhar. He/she just needs to submit one of the 18 identity cards listed and an address proof. In your case you have all the requisite documents and hence you can easily have the Aadhar card made by going to the nearest enrollment centre.
