Do i need NOC for appearing in an interview

16-Jun-2023 (In Civil Law)
I have applied for a post of college teacher in DCB College on 20.07.2017 when I was unemployed and so there was no NOC required. On 5.08.2017 I have joined as college teacher in PDUAM college. On 6. 09.2017 I have appeared for the interview in DCB College and was selected and on 8.01.2018 I had joined DCB college resigning PDUAM college. Now one of the unsuccessful candidate had made WPC in HC that I didn't obtain NOC from the present employer while appearing for interview of DCB college. Kindly let me know do I require NOC to appear an interview which I had applied prior to joining PDUAM college. As per the advertisement whose last date was 20.07.2018 it was mentioned that candidates in service should apply through proper channel and on the last date I was unemployed.

Need to see your documents first including copy of the WPC and the advertisement to advice you correctly. If you were not in government service at the date of advertisement and during the recruitment process and selection then of course you may not require to apply through proper channel. Let's see the documents first before advising you anything.
