Do daughters have right in father self acquired property

Do daughters have right in father self acquired property who died before 2005.. (1982). No suit filed by anyone yet. Daughter got married before 1989. Patta of the property has my father name, how do i transfer it to my name. Do i need my sister help to do it. Note. Hindu family

In the case of a self-acquired property, that is, where a father has bought a piece of land or house with his own money, a daughter is on weaker ground. The father, in this case, has the right to gift the property or will it to anyone he wants, and a daughter will not be able to raise an objection.

yes. the daughters are eligible for the property whether they are married now or then. so please go for the amicable settlement with your sister and get the property be transferred to your name. Now the supreme Court in many cases reiterated that the daughters are eligible for their father's property.
