Defamation Case - Civil Or Criminal

My in laws have defamed our family name everywhere. Like at workplace,my hometown etc. Can I lodge a criminal or civil court defamation case against them?

You can file a defamation case, however, if the other matrimonial issues (with your wife) are involved in this. Then you are advised to go before the family court.
The defamation, if done verbally, becomes difficult to prove. If it is in the form of a publication (written document) can be proved easily.

dear client defamation is civil as well as criminal wrong. you can file Complaint in criminal court against the wrongdoer. further you can file civil suit for damages in monetary compensation. please call me for further advice and Consultation.
