A legal notice by itself is no cause for intimidation or worry. Legal notice if received must be replied within prescribed/reasonable time. It is always better to get the reply sent through a lawyer. It is also advisable never to refuse to receive a legal. notice

If some one accuses of false accusations and sends legal notice, either approach an Advocate, get a reply notice drafted and send it to other party, and its defamatory statements in the notice then better file a criminal complaint in the nearest police station. If its really serious false allegations then file a complaint.

Dear Sirs,

You need to send a reply notice to such notice and defend your case that you haven't defamed anyone and your act does not amount to defamation. You can hire a lawyer and send the notice.

Please consult an advocate and explain about the situation and give your explanation for the false accusations and based on your explanation reply notice has to be sent to the other party and you can contest the matter before the court later
