Correction of Date of Birth for Adult Passport Application

am writing to seek your legal guidance regarding an issue with my date of birth on my minor passport and birth certificate. When I initially applied for my minor passport before 2004, we submitted a handwritten birth certificate that mistakenly recorded my date of birth as 09/06/1997. That time, we did not notice the error, and the passport was issued based on that incorrect date. However, my actual and correct date of birth is 09/08/1997. Later, we obtained a new and correct birth certificate

Since you now possess a corrected birth certificate reflecting your actual DOB (09/08/1997), you may apply for rectification of your passport. You will need to submit an application to the Regional Passport Office along with an affidavit explaining the discrepancy, the original incorrect birth certificate, and the corrected one. If necessary, a declaration from parents and supporting educational documents can also help. If the passport office still raises objections, you may approach the civil court for a declaratory suit confirming your correct date of birth

we can file for the change in dob in the passport...Do yiu have class 10th certificate? Bcause that is effective only when the application is established. In that case the changebin DoB is a possibilitu

Hello! I am Adv. Hardik Rastogi, in the issue mentioned above you can first approach to regional passport website and apply for updation of edits in the passport then if that is not acceptable then you can file a writ petition in high court getting directions from the court to pass appropriate orders to the passport seva kendre and editing your current changes.

You can simply show the birth certificate along with aadhar card for them to correct the DOB on the passport. You should approach the authorities directly. you might also need an affidavit to be given to verify your situation. If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

समस्या: पासपोर्ट में जन्मतिथि: 09/06/1997 (गलत) सही जन्मतिथि: 09/08/1997 कारण: पुराने हस्तलिखित जन्म प्रमाण पत्र की गलती ✅ समाधान (संक्षिप्त में): सही जन्म प्रमाण पत्र तैयार रखें (जो अब आपके पास है) एक शपथपत्र (Affidavit) बनवाएं — जिसमें गलत व सही जन्मतिथि का ज़िक्र हो दो अखबारों में विज्ञापन दें — सही DOB बताकर पासपोर्ट री-इशू के लिए आवेदन करें (Re-issue with correction in DOB)
