Contents of Writ Affidavit - Writ Petition

A lower quasi-judicial body dismissed a petition mid-way of a trial without conducting a fair hearing. The petioner is appealing to HC - Writ Petit.
In the Writ Affidavit that goes along witht the Writ Petition, is it enough if we detail about the grounds ie., the irregularities faced before the quasi-judicial body and the subsequent prayer, or is it required to go into the details of the previous cause of action upon which the complaint was raised before the quasi-judicial body in first place?
A writ affidavit should contain both the relevant background facts and the grounds of challenge. Briefly narrate the original cause of action to provide context, then explain the proceedings before the quasi-judicial authority, the procedural irregularities (such as denial of fair hearing or violation of natural justice), and how the impugned order is illegal or arbitrary. The focus should be on the defects in the decision-making process, but the High Court must also understand the underlying dispute. Avoid unnecessary evidence or lengthy pleadings; state only the material facts necessary to support the relief sought.
