Can RWA apply timing restrictions on parks?
11-Apr-2023 (In Civil Law)
Recently our RWA has imposes timing restrictions on playing badminton in our park, as I am also a working official my work shift ends around 10 pm at night and after having and dinner I would like to spend some time playing to maintain my physical fitness and even without creating any disturbance or nuisance, but our society has imposed rule that no sports activity allowed after 10 pm. I need some legal advice if RWA can impose such restrictions?
It depends on RWA’s own rules. Usually they can’t impose restrictions on Parks and playing badminton or just doing physical fitness will never disturb anyone. You can file a RTI regarding if there is any such rules. And if the problem still happens then you can also approach the local police.

If the park is maintained by public funds i.e., by government money then you have the right to visit the park any time keeping in mind that you dont create public nuisance. if you are using your rights without interfering in other's RWA cannot stop you
