can one person adduce evidence for others when all are alive

15-Sep-2023 (In Civil Law)
Sir, I had given money based on Registered Mortgage deed during 2006. Till date I have not received principal and interest. I filed a civil suit. There were 9 defendant. One defendant is filed Affidavit as DW1 and says that he is addicting evidence for 4 other defendant. My question is whether one person can adduce evidence for many others when all the others are alive?

There is no bar on any person in adducing evidence. Its relevancy and admissibility has to be determined by court. Only if the court grants you the permission to adduce evidence only then can you move ahead. its the discretion of the court to allow or not
