BSNL Default notice after ten years
24-Jan-2023 (In Civil Law)
Hello
We had a BSNL broadband connection in the year 2008 and due to high bills we had shifted to another provider. However we did not got it officially disconnected (we did not know this). Now back to 2018 we receive a look Adalat notice. This notice was brought to us very late and we missed the date. Now on 22-01-2019 we receive a further notice to pay up the dues otherwise legal action would be initiated. We had not received any updates between the period of 2008-2017. Now can BSNL call upon us to pay up RS 15000 otherwise initiate legal proceeding. How should we go about it because I don't have any details of that connection now. Does limitation clause plays here. How do we resolve this?
did you got any bills since 2008 was some security deposit was deposited by you do get a copy of the notice received and give a proper reply to that for what they are demanding if you have any relevant documents do annex them along with it through your council.
Better to settle the matter with BSNL at this stage itself. Visit the BSNL along with the notice that they have sent to you. Perhaps they will ask you to furnish a reply to this notice, which you can do. Attach all relevant case related documents which you have with you.
