Bathroom Leakage harassment by housing society

My housing society has been accusing me of causing a leakage to the below flat from my bathroom. However it is evident that there is ulterior motive of harassment. I requested a report from an engineer and they gave me an unsigned email printout. Certain their intention was to attribute false blame and fearful of intentional sabotage including deliberate creation of a leakage, I have not allowed them to inspect my flat. How can I protect myself?

In such cases, it's important to protect yourself legally and factually. You should send a written communication to the housing society asking for a detailed, signed engineer’s report and clarifying the basis of their allegations. Simultaneously, get an independent inspection done by a certified civil engineer or plumber and retain the report. If the society continues to harass you without evidence, you can file a police complaint or legal notice for harassment and defamation. Do not allow any inspection without a formal written request and ensure it is conducted in your presence or with a trusted witness.

Well, you can lodge a formal Complaint with the concerned Registrar of Societies against doing of Harrasment by Society that is of you, by putting false blame upon you without any credible evidence to support their claim, that, you have caused leakage to the below flat from your bathroom! If Registrar fails to resolve your concerns mentioned in the Notice, then, you can file a case against the Society!
