Apartment association rules clarifications

Hi Sir /madam Our association is trying to bring up following rules in our apartment. 1: renting the flats to bachelor's are not allowed. 2: smoking inside their flats are not allowed May I know , will the association can enforce such laws..?

Hi. If this is a present working committee which had duly appointed as per the bye laws of the building complex, association or committee then based on wholly consent of all the committee member, the rules or the guidelines made by them can be enforced, however nothing should act contrary to the public interest or the interest of the residents or owners staying there.

The first one can be tried but the second one no it can't be done as such by rules doesn't fit in to the law of privacy cause what one does within four walls is left to him unless and until it's an penal offence, for any other queries kindly get consulted
