Adding last name in passport and docs

Hi sir,ma'am ,nI have a single name and is like that in all my documents.though i have a family name but it's not written in my documents. How to get added surname of my parent in my name. Is it a process similar to name change or has a different process. As I'm facing issue with passport.

when there is issue related to documents and identity of holder in yht case one need to get an affidavit notarized stating your previous and your chosen name along with address. Later it need to be published in newspapers and then in official india gazette. all can be done.

Hello Sir, This is Adv. Shrikant Samantara. You may change the name of your by means of Gazette Publication in Gazette of India by adding the surname in after your name. And the copy if the Gazette may be used to change the names in all the government documents including Your Passport. Feel free to contact for any query Regards.
