What is the procedure to file for a child custody

Sir, I have 2 Childs daughter-9 years ,son-3 years . Myself &a my wife both doesn't have any brothers sisters . She stayed with me for 10 years in indore & suddenly run away to kanpur with my child's I need custody will it possible & if yes then how much time it will require , my wife doesn't earn any money & same way her father mother are ages & retired. Pl guide me

For custody of child you need to move an application for getting the custody before the concerning Family Court. Legally as per the relevant guardianship Act child above the age of 5 years Father is consider as the natural guardian and for child who is below 5 year mother is the natural guardian. Subject to certain conditions.
