Wants clarification on child custody....

How much time a child custody matter takes time in court since the divorce taken place long time back say 12 years. Divorce matter solved by villages. There was no maintaince for the son who is 11 years old. Now she need matinance and share in property. I belong to a muslim family and staying outside the country with my family.... I need to know will the son have share in my property unless and untill i am alive. secondly regarding maintaince do i have to pay for previous years also as i not paid anything and thirdly how much time it takes to solve since i am staying outside the country. pls reply so i can touch up with u in this matter.
