Can my in laws claim custody of my child after husbands death

14-Jun-2023 (In Child Custody Law)
My friend's husband died in a mishap. Her in laws family gave her some money and took all property. Radhika had a 10 year old girl(ritu) at that time. In laws family signed ritus custody on paper (godnama) as they promised to look after the girl. But presently girl is living with radhika and radhika have married again. Radhiks's new husband is looking after her and ritu very well . Now old inlaws family is asking to give ritu to them or clear the custudy papers (godnama). But radhika wants to keep ritu with her and wants compensation in lieu of clearing godnama.
