Sir/Madam, Cheque is a negotiable instrument governed by N.I. Act. Cheque is issued for the discharge of the legally enforceable debt and at present the cheque is valid only for 3 months [Previously it was 6 months]. If the Cheque is dishonoured for any reason, the legal notice need to be served by an advocate ,it is mandatory ,within a month, from the date of receipt of Cheque Return Memo by banker. If the parties are one and the same and the bank situated is one and the same, a single notice is sufficient, but not contrary. But its advisable to file multiple cases so that the accused may be put into trouble.

You shall have to serve 3 different notices followed by separate case for separate cheque bounce. You can neither club all 3 cheques in a single notice nor can file a single complaint. but the notice of the cheques returned should be given for all of them within 30 days

Yes number of cheques on different dates do not matter you can always give single legal notice for dishonor of cheques and file a single complaint under section 138 of Negiotiable Instruments Act until they are issued by same person.

Dear,

As the person who issued the 3 cheques is the same, therefore upon default by the person to honor the same, you can issue a single legal notice to the person through a lawyer mentioning the cheque no.s and date of bouncing the cheques and give 15 days of time to the person to pay the amount under the cheque. If the person fails to pay the amount after receiving the notice, file a single cheque bounce case against him within 30 days. Apart from filing a cheque bounce case, you can also file a civil suit for recovery of money against the person.
