Hello In EMI bounce cases, if an EMI is dishonoured three times, the account may be classified as a Non-Performing Asset (NPA). Thereafter, the bank may initiate proceedings under Section 25 of the Payment and Settlement Systems Act. In such circumstances, due to financial hardship and inability to pay the EMIs, it is advisable to issue a formal notice to the bank explaining the reasons for non-payment and seeking appropriate relief or restructuring.
