I have a blank cheque (no amount, no date and no payee) my friend gave me two years back. He borrowed some money from me many times and he didn't return it till now. Can I fill the cheque with the total money he owe me and deposit it? If it bounces can I take legal action against him as it is a blank cheque he gave me and I am the one going to fill up the amount he owe me?

The holder of the cheque is entitled to fill up the cheque and deposit the same in bank. If the cheque is dishonored, then you can initiate legal proceedings if amount due to you is a legally enforceable debt.
