Unable to pay EMI due to shortage of funds

Due to lost of my job.I'm unable to pay the EMI which i have taken from the finance company. Now they are saying we filed a case and warrent has issued.so what should i do now.
What kind of case has been filed? Did you issue a cheque? Please share the case details in case you need a quick remedy. For non-payment of EMIs no company would usually take action under the criminal laws.
