Iam unable to oay the minimum amount or Total outstanding amounts. Total credit card limit for all the four cards stand to Rs 12 Lalhs. I have asked time to pay the dues . Three banks have given me time of 15 days. Iam trying to mobilize funds from outside sources. No bank have taken any legal action or send me notices. Credit card dues are unsecured loans. Banks cannot arrest you for non-payment. Since no legal notice or case is filed yet, act immediately. Write to all banks requesting restructuring / EMI / settlement, citing age (74 years), agricultural income, and financial hardship. Do not ignore calls or emails; communicate only in writing. Banks may later issue a legal notice or file a civil recovery case, not a criminal case. If recovery agents harass you, you can complain to the bank, RBI Ombudsman, or police. Try one-time settlement (OTS) if full payment is not possible. Protect essential assets; agricultural land generally cannot be attached for unsecured credit card dues. Immediate step: Send a written hardship/settlement request to all four banks. Thank you
