You can file a civil suit for recovery of money. If your statement is reflecting the amounts deposited then you have a good case. Receipt also adds to your aid.

You can also file consumer complaint for deficiency of service on the part of the Bank.

Sir, it is the duty of the bank to deposit the amount of the bank holder in the bank account in a proper manner and if the same is not done then the bank is liable for fraud and deficiency of service on their part. The receipt with you is clear indicator that you have approached the bank and deposited money with them and therefore, it is their liability thereafter to find where the deposit has been made. There is no need for the bank to ask for a receipt of the other account.
Banks do a lot of mistakes and it becomes your responsibility to get them corrected from the banks as they will not be willing to do it till they know that the mistake caused might have certain circumstances.
I advice you to send a proper legal notice at the branch office of the bank and to the head office as well explaining the transaction and also telling them that if your account is not debited then you would be willing to take legal action against the bank.
The banks have a mindset that the consumers do not pursue their legal remedies most offen and therefore they get away with fuch frauds. sending of a legal notice and initiating a civil proceeding is indeed a tedious task.
However, these cases are relating to such a dispute that involve a consumer and therefore there is no need to approach the civil courts or district courts for the same. A special forum for fast and speedy redressal has been made called the consumer disputes redressal forums which are present in every district and state and the procedure for getting recovery from them is simple and less time consuming.
I advise you to follow up with the bank and send a legal notice and get your money debited in the proper manner as it should have been.
