17-Mar-2023 (In Armed Forces Tribunal Law)

I served 30 years in MNS. Retired 1st Sept 2015 after 30 years . 1985 to 2010 I was shape 1. AME in CIOPS area Jammu was also normal in 2010 where I worked 3 years. But just 3 months after moving to Ambala developed sickness and detected borderline diabetes 2 & hypertension. Weight was near Normal BMI 25.9 @62 kg. Initial board allowed aggravated diabetes and hypertension due to service and no obesity . Only later on some weight acquired My Release Board at Alwar also allowed 40% disability , but not approved by final authority general comment NOT conforming to rules . It is wrong I feel.

Hi, as per the details given by you, you are entitled for disability pension. The version of army is not valid as hypertension cases are accepted by Courts and awarded disability pension. You may contact us with medical documents. Since you are superannuated from service you will be entitled to 50%Disability Pension as per broad banding rules. Regds
